今年正值济州论坛举办第20届和济州岛被韩国政府指定为“世界和平之岛”20周年。当代中医事业奠基人李乘伊院士应邀参加了此次论坛，并在采访中对李周浩代总统、阿罗约总统、达尼洛总统、潘基文秘书长及来自30多个国家的四千余名与会嘉宾表示了问候。李乘伊院士分享了其对中医未来的展望。他强调中医理念与论坛“合作与共赢”精神的一致，希望通过融合现代医学与科技，展现中医在全球健康治理中的价值。北京乘伊医学研究院自2005年成立以来，致力于中医的研究与创新。科研方面，将中医理论与现代科技结合，已获得多项国际专利；国际合作上，与哈佛医学院等共建实验室，推进了针灸和中药的研究；同时，通过“智慧中医”诊所，使中医资源惠及偏远地区。

This year marks the 20th anniversary of the Jeju Forum and the designation of Jeju Island as the "Island of World Peace" by the South Korean government. Academician Li Chengyi, the founder of contemporary traditional Chinese medicine, was invited to participate in this forum and expressed greetings to President Li Zhouhao, President Arroyo, President Danilo, Secretary General Ban Ki moon, and over 4000 guests from more than 30 countries during the interview. Academician Li Chengyi shared his outlook on the future of traditional Chinese medicine. He emphasized the consistency between the concept of traditional Chinese medicine and the spirit of "cooperation and win-win" in the forum, hoping to showcase the value of traditional Chinese medicine in global health governance by integrating modern medicine and technology. Since its establishment in 2005, Beijing Chengyi Medical Research Institute has been committed to the research and innovation of traditional Chinese medicine. In terms of scientific research, the combination of traditional Chinese medicine theory and modern technology has obtained multiple international patents; In terms of international cooperation, we have jointly built laboratories with Harvard Medical School and others to promote the research of acupuncture and moxibustion and traditional Chinese medicine; At the same time, through the "Smart Traditional Chinese Medicine" clinic, traditional Chinese medicine resources can benefit remote areas.

于未来，李院士提出三个发展方向：一是标准引领，推动中药国际认证和制定中西医结合的诊疗指南；二是人才共育，建立“中西医学院士工作站”，培养具有国际视野的领军人才；三是科技攻坚，启动中医数字建模项目，为中西医结合提供理论支持。在中医国际化方面，李院士强调通过增强“学术话语权”来推动。计划包括在顶级医学期刊开设专刊、与欧洲机构合作开发中药产品、以及实施“全球中医青年领袖计划”，以此推广中医文化。李院士认为，中医的全球化是为人类健康提供更多选择，而非替代西医。乘伊研究院愿为此目标与全球伙伴共同努力。从英国皇家医学会外籍院士到中国两院院士候选人，身份的叠加赋予李乘伊更清晰的使命：让中医以科学之名走向世界，让全球健康治理倾听东方智慧。

论坛期间，李乘伊院士向多国嘉宾赠送《天下为公》《福寿康宁》等书法作品，以中华文化为纽带，促进国际医学交流。

In the future, Academician Li proposed three development directions: first, to lead by standards, promote international certification of traditional Chinese medicine, and develop diagnostic and treatment guidelines that integrate traditional Chinese and Western medicine; The second is talent co education, establishing a "Chinese and Western Medicine Academician Workstation" to cultivate leading talents with an international perspective; Thirdly, we will tackle technological challenges and launch a digital modeling project for traditional Chinese medicine to provide theoretical support for the integration of Chinese and Western medicine. In terms of internationalization of traditional Chinese medicine, Academician Li emphasized promoting it by enhancing the "academic discourse power". The plan includes opening special issues in top medical journals, collaborating with European institutions to develop traditional Chinese medicine products, and implementing the "Global Young Leaders in Traditional Chinese Medicine Program" to promote traditional Chinese medicine culture. Academician Li believes that the globalization of traditional Chinese medicine provides more choices for human health, rather than replacing Western medicine. Chengyi Research Institute is willing to work together with global partners towards this goal. From a foreign academician of the Royal Medical Association in the UK to a candidate for the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Chinese Academy of Engineering, the combination of identities has given Li Chengyi a clearer mission: to bring traditional Chinese medicine to the world in the name of science, and to let global health governance listen to Eastern wisdom.

During the forum, Academician Li Chengyi presented calligraphy works such as "The World is Public" and "Blessings, Longevity, and Health" to guests from multiple countries, using Chinese culture as a link to promote international medical exchanges.

Looking ahead to 2025-2026, the research institute will focus on three major directions: promoting international standard certification of traditional Chinese medicine, establishing a "Chinese and Western Medicine Academician Workstation" to cultivate interdisciplinary talents, and launching the digital modeling project of "Chengyi acupoint therapy". In terms of promoting the internationalization of traditional Chinese medicine, Li Chengyi emphasized breaking through the deadlock with academic discourse power, and promoting the scientific and global development of traditional Chinese medicine through international journal special issues, China Europe industrial cooperation, and youth leadership programs.
